5. How Are Dentures Made?

The process of Dentures development takes about 3-5 weeks and several appointments to dentists. Once your dentist determines what type of appliance is fit or suitable for you, the following steps need to follow:

1. In this first step the Dentist will make a series of impressions of your jaw and measure how your jaws relate to one another and how much space is between them.

2. In the second step Dentist will create models in wax forms or in plastic patters in the exact shape and position of the denture to be made. He will try it on you several times so the denture will be assessed for shape, color and fit before the final denture is made.
